Jay Parini is the D. E. Axinn Professor of English & Creative Writing at Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. He is a regular contributor to various journals and newspapers and was a co-counder of the New England Review. He is the author of a number of books on writing and writers, and the novels Bay of Arrows, Benjamin’s Crossing and The Patch Boys.
