Vikki Wakefield’s Friday Brown has won the Young Adult Fiction category in the 2014 Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature.

Friday Brown, Vikki’s second novel, was commended as an Honour Book by the Children’s Book Council of Australia and was shortlisted in the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, the WA Premier’s Book Awards, the Queensland Literary Awards and the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.

Vikki’s first novel, All I Ever Wanted, also won the Young Adult Fiction category in the Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature in 2012.
