The John Button Prize was created in memory of the late Industry Minister, Senator and writer, who sadly passed away last year. It seeks to enhance the quality of political writing and debate in Australia, and will award $20,000 to the best piece of non-fiction writing on politics or public policy in the previous 12 months.
The longlist has been announced, with Peter Singer’s The Life You Can Save and David Marr’s The Henson Case making the cut.
Text congratulates Peter and David, and we look forward to the prize announcement, at this year’s Melbourne Writers' Festival.
