Charming, witty and romantic, Toni Jordan’s Addition has been chosen as the Australian debut novel of the year in the inaugural Indie Award. This means Addition is on the shortlist of four (one from each category) in the running for overall best book.
The titles shortlisted for the $19,000 award are:
Debut fiction: Addition, Toni Jordan
Fiction: Breath, Tim Winton
Nonfiction: American Journeys, Don Watson
Children’s: Tales from Outer Suburbia, Shaun Tan
The Indie Award is run by the Leading Edge group of booksellers. The overall winner will be announced on Monday 6 October.
