Text Publishing is looking for an outstanding individual to join our hardworking team in the newly-created role of Finance Assistant. The successful applicant will report to the Finance Manager, and can configure their role as full or part-time.
The Finance Assistant's responsibilities include:
- Performing extensive data entry
- Analysing and reporting weekly sales data
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Processing debtor and creditor invoices through MYOB
- Preparing bi-annual royalty statements
- Preparing invoices and maintaining invoice records
- Performing general finance duties, including banking and petty cash
The selection criteria for this role is:
- First-rate administration and organisational abilities
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated experience in the use of MYOB
- High numerical accuracy skills and attention to detail when working at speed
- The ability to maintain a calm manner in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of the book industry and a love of books would be an advantage
