Text is thrilled to have joined publishers around the world in becoming a signatory to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Publishers Compact.

By joining the compact, our team has committed to the seventeen SDGs, choosing three in particular to focus on: gender equality, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.

Publisher Michael Heyward says: ‘Text is dedicated to supporting sustainable development and environmentalism, both through the books that we publish and our organisational policies. We are proud to be a signatory to the SDG Publishers Compact as a means of further developing these sustainable practices.’

Text has also formed a sustainability committee, which will work to implement new sustainable practices in the workplace. The team will report annually to the UN on Text’s progress towards achieving the SDGs, sharing data and raising awareness among our team members, suppliers and readers.

Text already has multiple sustainable practices in place, but there is always more that can be done, and we are committed to following the SDGs to minimise our impact on the environment and promote equality, well-being and kindness.
